On April 17th I attended the Texas Social Media Conference with members of our LT Team. This was the first time we’d attended this conference and it was an interesting mix of K-12, Post-Secondary, and business presenters.  Our very own Rebekah Hinkle, AP at the STEAM Academy at Stribling presented at the event. I really enjoyed the keynote by Marialice Curran! She was amazing! They started the whole show off with some large group karaoke with Claudio Zavala…can’t beat that! And it was a great message – #standbyme She gave me my new mantra and the best quote of the day… The conference gave everyone headsets to listen to music – and at lunch, we all received instructions to move to one of the central areas and have a silent dance/karaoke party to Ain’t No Mountain High Enough! I wish I had taken video – it was AWESOME! My favorite sessions were provided by my buddies from Mansfield ISD – Kim Murphee and Emily Young! Here’s a great one about using Social Media in the classroom!
