Hello, I′m Kim Estes
Learner / Educator
Hire me
I have always had a love of technology and it's potential when it is integrated into the classroom and into professional development with relevance, purpose, and a focus on the learning. I am not a fan of technology for technology's sake, and bells and whistles don't impress me...but give me a solid tool that improves content understanding, helps to transfer or demonstrate mastery, or brings student engagement WITH THE CONTENT (not the tech) to the next level...and I'm in!
There are things that we learn through training, through observation, and through good 'ole fashioned trial-and-error. My 26 years in education have taught me so much and I am grateful to the students, parents, teachers, administrators, trainers, and experiences that helped me to grow as a professional (and as a person).
While I love teaching students in the classroom, I found that I could have an even greater impact on student success when I work with faculty. I love modeling strategies, working together with faculty, and sharing the successes (and learning opportunities) that come with trying new things. I've been very blessed to have had the opportunity to provide a wide variety of professional development for the faculty I have served.
I have been blessed to have served the educational community in Johnson and Tarrant Counties for over 26 years. Click on the job titles to read more!
