After surveying out teachers about the type of PD they'd like during the summer, we created the Technology Content Area Academies in response to the almost unanimous request for content area specific training. Teachers came for a 6 hour workshop on their content area...with examples specifically addressing the grade levels of the teachers in attendance. We worked closely with Kathy Massingill and Seth Hickman, our district Math Coordinators, to make sure we covered content and tools that they wanted to address with our teachers...with a technology flare. It went really well! My only regret is that we didn't take more photos!
