TCEA 2017 – Day 2

Enjoyed my last day at TCEA where there wouldn't be a line out the door of the Starbucks in my hotel lobby. Sigh. Then it was off to the Leadership Academy. I attended a session called Technopoly by a group of ITs from a couple of school districts (one was Aledo ISD). I am IN LOVE with the idea and intend to implement the program this spring/summer with our teachers! So much fun! Got a couple of other really great PD resources and some info on T-TESS and technology that will help immensely with our principal training. I really liked What Does a 21st Century Administrator Look Like from the Coachella Valley Unified School District. So excited this evening to attend the TCEA Awards Ceremony in honor of our friend, Shirley Dalby. She was a finalist for Library Media Specialist of the Year. Although she didn't take home the top award (which she totally deserves) - she was top 3 in the State and is an amazing woman! After the awards we headed to the Troxell/Summit party at Max's Wine Dive. I tried really hard to win a drone (they gave away 3!!!) but didn't get it done! Ah well...maybe next time! After the party, I had to head back to the hotel to work on my presentation for Thursday. Still didn't have that locked down yet. Wednesday would bring the CDW Executive Panel, of which I was a member, and some time spent on the vendor floor!
