Monday at TCEA 2017 was Google Academy day. My friend, Jamie Neuwirth was scheduled to Keynote, but he moved on to another company and is no longer at Google. They brought in the head of convention, Dr. Roland Rios. His positive, uplifting message really hit home as he talked about the needs of the military kids in our communities. I was touched and impressed by his open, humble, emotional keynote. I had to present my first session of the week during the Google Academy - Google Forms: Automated Awesomeness. I think I had as much fun making up the ads than I did presenting! Huge thank you to Lindsay Foster - my teammate - for helping me with my presentation! With her running the Chromebook, I was free to move around the room - something that someone with as much nervous energy as me really can appreciate! I was blessed to have over 130 people in my first session! Wow!!! So humbled! And they had nice things to say about my session too... And this right here...this is why I do this...my presentation shared back to a school district by one of their own...and implemented the very next day! I asked the teacher to tweet me a pic or some info on how it went...and she did! I love my job!!!! I snuck in and took some photos of my teammates presenting during the Academy and still managed to see 5 other sessions throughout the day. Lots of Googliness floating around, to be sure. After dinner at the Old School Bar & Grill...it was time to crash! Another full day on Tuesday with the Leadership Academy and the TCEA Awards Ceremony to attend!
