I really enjoyed spending the day with teachers from Kerr Middle School as we attended training at Region XI about Problem Based Learning. This is something our district is really interested in and we got a full day of the "why" would you want to go to PBL. I've been through training based on the Buck Institute model and have even presented a two-day retreat on PBL for the teachers at Centennial High School. It was really fun to listen to these Kerr Cougar learn and talk about how they could use this with their kids. The common theme was finding time for this depth of discovery for our students. Seems to be the uniform issue that teachers are faced with...it was nice that their principal was there to hear their concerns and work with them to try to resolve them.
