June brought our first 3-day Chromebook Academy training for teachers in our district. Heather created a great Game of Thrones parody graphic for the event and we carried the theme throughout the training. Teachers received basic Google Apps for Education training, practiced App Smashing, learned about digital citizenship and the district AUP, and they got a HUGE list of resources to help them plan for the 1:1 rollout coming in the fall. We had a great group of teachers who provided us with invaluable feedback for tweaking our future academies.
